This Privacy Policy describes how SEO Tab (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a product owned and operated by ONMEDIA LIMITED, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our SEO analytics and reporting service at getseotab.com (the “Service”).
By using SEO Tab, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Your name and email address
- Company or organization name (optional)
- Password (stored in encrypted form)
1.2 Google Account Data
When you connect your Google account to SEO Tab, we access specific data from Google services to provide our SEO analytics features. We request only the permissions necessary to deliver the Service.
Data accessed from Google Search Console:
- Search performance data (clicks, impressions, click-through rate, average position)
- Search queries and landing pages
- Index coverage and sitemap status
- List of verified properties in your Search Console account
Data accessed from Google Analytics 4:
- Visitor metrics (users, sessions, pageviews)
- Traffic source data
- Conversion and event data
- Bounce rate and engagement metrics
1.3 Usage Data
We collect information about how you interact with SEO Tab, including pages visited, features used, and actions taken within the Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the data we collect for the following purposes:
- Account information: To create and manage your account, authenticate your identity, and communicate with you about the Service
- Google Search Console data: To generate consolidated SEO performance dashboards, track keyword rankings, and create reports for your websites
- Google Analytics 4 data: To display visitor metrics alongside search data, providing a complete view of your organic performance
- Usage data: To improve the Service, fix bugs, and develop new features
Your Google data is used solely to provide you with SEO analytics and reporting features within SEO Tab. We do not use your Google data for advertising purposes.
3. Google API Services User Data Policy
SEO Tab’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements: https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy
In accordance with Google’s Limited Use requirements:
- We only use Google user data to provide and improve the SEO Tab service
- We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide the Service, as required by law, or with your explicit consent
- We do not use Google user data for serving advertisements
- We do not allow humans to read Google user data unless we have your affirmative agreement, it is necessary for security purposes, to comply with applicable law, or our use is limited to internal operations
4. Data Storage and Security
4.1 Where We Store Data
Your data is stored on secure servers provided by trusted cloud infrastructure providers. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest.
4.2 Data Retention
We retain your Google data for as long as your account is active and you maintain a connection to your Google account. Historical performance data is retained according to your subscription plan to enable trend analysis and reporting.
When you disconnect your Google account or delete your SEO Tab account, we delete your Google user data within 30 days.
4.3 Security Measures
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:
- Encryption of data in transit and at rest
- Regular security assessments
- Access controls limiting who can view user data
- Secure OAuth 2.0 authentication for Google account connections
5. Data Sharing

6.2 Disconnect Google Account
You can disconnect your Google account from SEO Tab at any time:
- From within SEO Tab: Go to Settings and click “Disconnect Google Account”
- From Google: Visit https://myaccount.google.com/permissions and revoke access for SEO Tab
Disconnecting will stop SEO Tab from accessing your Google data and remove stored Google data from our systems.
6.3 Delete Your Account
You can request deletion of your SEO Tab account by contacting us at privacy@getseotab.com. Upon deletion, all your personal data and connected Google data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
6.4 Data Portability
You have the right to request a copy of your personal data in a machine-readable format.
7. Cookies and Tracking
SEO Tab uses essential cookies to maintain your session and remember your preferences. We use privacy-focused analytics to understand how the Service is used, without tracking you across other websites.
8. Children’s Privacy
SEO Tab is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. International Data Transfers
If you are accessing SEO Tab from outside Kenya, please be aware that your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in Kenya or other countries where our servers are located.
